Sharon L. Weiner followed a career in government relations and service as an elected public official with a second career in the field of law. In her role as an attorney, Ms. Weiner has been able to draw upon her experiences in the representation of her varied private and government clients in areas that include municipal, land use, environmental, government relations/lobbying, and general administrative law. Ms. Weiner is very active in her community. In 1986, she served as Mayor of Livingston, New Jersey, after serving as Deputy Mayor and Councilwoman. In 2002, she was appointed Livingston Township Attorney. She also served as Redevelopment Counsel for the Town of Morristown and the Borough of South Plainfield. Ms. Weiner is a Government Affairs Agent registered with the State of New Jersey and serves as Assistant Counsel to the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. She is Chair of the Local Government Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She has just been named a diplomat in Local Government law. Ms. Weiner is past President of the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey and was recognized as one of the New Jersey’s best 50 women in business by NJBIZ. She is affiliated with the Essex County and New Jersey State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
