Murphy McKeon represents private and public clients in connection with the sale, lease, purchase, lending and foreclosure and condemnation of underutilized contaminated sites for the purpose of promoting redevelopment.
We are well versed in the areas of smart growth, condemnation land use regulations, urban enterprise zones, state planning regulations, permitting, brown fields, and the financing of redevelopment projects and offer the following services: property acquisition, preparing development plans, obtaining necessary zoning and other governmental approvals, negotiating and drafting redevelopment and tax abatement agreements, advising clients with respect to governmental financing and grant agreements and other forms of tax exempt and taxable financing.
The firm has served as Special Redevelopment Counsel for the Town of Morristown, the Morristown Redevelopment Agency and the Borough of South Plainfield. Ms. Weiner, a partner of the firm, is a frequent lecturer on Redevelopment Law.
